Throughout my academic career, I’ve focused on driving innovation, integrating emerging technologies into business education, and fostering student success. ACADEMIC CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
  • As a Dean, Dr. Warren focuses on strategic growth and innovation. Key achievements include securing $30,000 in initial donations for economic development support, launching the "Golden Pitch" competition and an Entrepreneur in Residence program to cultivate student entrepreneurship, and actively presenting on financial and digital literacy at major platforms like the Black Blockchain Summit and Capitol Hill events.

  • Serving as Associate Dean and MBA Director, Dr. Warren spearheaded several high-impact initiatives. He directed multiple STEM Boot Camps (LA2BSET initiative) equipping over 150 students with digital credentials in areas like AI, Blockchain, and Cybersecurity. He also led faculty training in Cybersecurity, coached the HBCU Battle of the Brains competition team, audited a Harvard Business School case study method for potential implementation, and was instrumental in securing $15.7 million in technology assets to enhance research and analytics capabilities system-wide.

  • During his interim leadership period, Dr. Warren focused on strategic direction and impactful engagement. He delivered a notable TEDx Talk at TEDxScotlandville, co-developed the College of Business Strategic Plan (2021–2023), and directed the LA2BSET initiative to enhance technological access for underserved communities. He also successfully coached student teams for multiple prestigious competitions, achieving a 3rd place finish (out of 100+ entries) in the Thurgood Marshall College Fund/NBA Challenge and guiding teams in the HBCU Battle of the Brains and Bayou Classic BizTech competitions.

  • As IBM Single Point of Contact for the Southern University System, Dr. Warren was instrumental in significantly enhancing the university's technological capabilities. Key contributions included securing over $15.7 million in technology assets (including advanced analytics tools), facilitating $100,000 in IBM Masters Fellowships for SU students, and leading the training and digital credentialing of over 25 faculty and 500+ students in high-demand areas like AI, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and more.

Courses and Lectures Taught/Presented
  • Taught foundational and advanced courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Key areas included Principlesr of Management, Production Management, Management Information Systems, and specialized IBM Skills Academy credential courses covering emerging technologies like Internet of Things (IoT), Data Science, Enterprise Design Thinking, and AI Essentials.

  • As Director for the SU System's Virtual IBM Skills Academy Boot Camp (Dec 2020), Dr. Warren first prepared faculty and staff, then led an intensive two-week program for 50 students. This boot camp provided valuable training and digital credentials in key technology areas including Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, IoT, Design Thinking, and Big Data.

  • For the Business and Entrepreneurship Advancement Program (BEAP), Dr. Warren developed and taught a specialized 'Technology for Entrepreneurs' course titled 'What the TECH is Going On?'. He enhanced the learning experience by introducing participants to IBM Design Thinking credentials and integrating resources from external platforms like SkillsBuild, HubSpot Academy, and Grow with Google for further certification opportunities.

  • Taught Management Information Systems courses to undergraduate and graduate students, integrating practical technology skills. Students had opportunities to earn IBM Design Thinking digital credentials and utilize learning resources from platforms like SkillsBuild and Coursera.
